BE FREE FROM RESENTMENT

Are you a child of divorced parents?
Have you felt someone’s hate towards you?
Do you remember the past with pain in your heart?
Has someone hurt you?
Is there someone you have NOT been able to forgive?

Why all these questions you may wonder…..
First let me give you scriptures:

Ephesians 4:26, 30-32

Proverbs 20:22 and 29:11

James 1:19

Now the questions, if someone has hurt you, be it your parents or someone else and you find yourself saying I will forgive, but I will NOT forget, than you have not really forgiven the problem with unforgiveness is that it is like a seed that is planted and it grows in a horrible thing called resentment, sorrow, bitterness, these things are keys that give the enemy power over us, when God forgives us He does not keep reminding us of the past he erases all sin from us, no memory of how or what we did in the past remains for Him, and he asks the same of us, once we are able to forgive and truly let go of the anger and let God start the healing process, the enemy no longer has a hold on us, because unforgiveness, resentment even have the power to make us physically sick (did you know that?).
It all starts very small, we get upset we all get upset at times but we have to forgive even if we think we are right, God will deal with the rest.
1 Peter 5:6
We have to take control of our emotions and any outburst that may arise, especially when we are upset or angry.

Never let anger and resentment to stay in your heart, If you learn to overcome them, even your future generations will be able to overcome them. This past Saturday c2C and PG got together to raise some funds for the upcoming Encounter 2011 trip, and I must say it was a very nice evening.
We had great food, a wonderful movie and the company of each other and our families!

"Misericordia - Mercy" and Johanna's Birthday Party

Last Saturday, November 6, 2010 c2C meeting was held in our new friends and c2c members, Kelvin and Johanna Peña house. We were delighted to have been invited to their lovely home to not only have our regular meeting but to celebrate a very special occasion, Johanna’s birthday! We had a wonderful time full of laughter and joy.

First we started off with a powerful prayer and then followed by the word of God.

The topic: Mercy in spanish: MISERICORDIA
A good way to understand the meaning of mercy is to see how it relates to grace:
1. Mercy--not getting what you do deserve / withheld punishment
2. Grace--getting what you don't deserve / unmerited favor

I found this example:
• Mercy is like a judge finding you guilty, but then withholding any punishment. Grace is getting something you could never have imagined. An inexplicable gift. It's like the same judge awarding you $10,000,000.00, after finding you guilty!
• In this sense, mercy can be thought of as the opposite of grace, or perhaps more correctly--the inverse. The words are normally used in Scripture as defined, though occasionally the distinctions are blurred. In Greek as in English, mercy can also mean pity or compassion.

Many Bible verses were giving to explain the importance of Mercy. God had so much mercy over us that He gave his only begotten son for our salvation (The gift of salvation was given because of His grace). We can never get tired of remembering the one who died for us – JESUS CHRIST! Because of God’s mercy, we are here if not, we would be condemned to hell for eternity.

So don’t forget that no matter what you are going through. God’s mercy is over you and it’s looking after you. That means, that if you think that what you are going through right now is bad, than without His mercy it would be worse!

We encourage you to lift up your eyes to the King of Kings and just as He has shown mercy over us, let us have mercy over those who have less than us. Let’s have compassion and love for one another just like Jesus did. We are carriers of the truth and we should aim to bring all those to the feet of Jesus. He is the answer!

c2C joins PG for their annual iGlow 2010 Event!

iGlow this year was held on October 30, 2010 from 3:00pm to 10:00pm. Its a time to spend it with your family and friends. The kids played games as the adults enjoyed the Talent Show. We discovered many talents that had been hidden for years! Some rode ponies while others bounced their night away! Burgers, Choripanes, Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Corn on the Cob and much more was in the days menu. The night was closed with a concert that gave all the glory to God! Special Guest: Pepe and Claudia on Marriages/Relationships

So, last Saturday, October 23, 2010, we had the great privilege of having Pepe and Claudia shared their knowledge on Marriage and Relationships. It was a definite eye opener for all of us!
I would love to share with you all the things that they spoke about but it was so much information that it would take quite some time to write. Pepe and Claudia both addressed the responsibilities of the husband and the wife. Pepe spoke on behalf of the man and Claudia on behalf of the women.

I’ll share with you a few of the things that I remember.

1. Ladies – “I have a headache is no excuse" when your husband desires to be with you. Remember that your body is no longer only yours but his as well.

2. Gentleman – “It is your responsibility to clean her car as well” – Just because she has a different car, doesn’t mean that she needs to clean it, it is your responsibility as the provider of the house – to maintain your wife with a clean car and full of gas !!! I like it! (Especially, since I really dislike putting gas on my car – thank you God for making that responsibility of the men! – I knew I didn’t like if for a reason!!!)

3. Ladies – “Respect and Admire your husband” – In you is the ability to lift up your man, with your words and your praises. Don’t ever let words of discouragement or hurtful words come out of your mouth. Be wise and think before you speak!

4. Gentleman – “Listen to your wife and understand her, especially when she gives you advice”

5. Ladies – “Cover and surround your husband with your prayers”

6. Gentleman – “Be the figure of security and provision for your wife – even when things are tough” reassure her that things will be fine and that you will get them through it."

7. Ladies – “Don’t put your children before your husband!” Your children will eventually grow up and get married and you will be left with your husband.

8. For both – Each one should know that we are different people and that in our marriage we have different responsibilities and we should not step over areas that do not belong to us!

That’s just a few things I can remember, but trust me – there were lots more where that came from! If you missed it, you really missed out on lessons of a life that will make your marriage healthier and more like the resemblance between the love found between Christ and the church!

Afterwards, them blessed us and pray for all the marriages and those who are still single have not tied the knot yet!

At the end of the night, Sandro and his lovely wife Yahaira blessed us with an amazing meal : Peruvian Ceviche with Papas a la Huancaina!!!! It was wonderful! Ask everyone!!!! YUMMY FOR THE TUMMY!!!! GO PERU!!! Thanks guys!!!

Bible Study - 1 Samuel Continues ....

On Saturday, October 16, 2010, Edy continued the study of 1 Samuel 3. As we study this book, we are able to see how the prophesies and the word given by God will come to past. Just like seeing in Samuel and Ana's life and even in Eli's and his sons. Some have a better ending than others. So, that goes to show you that you should really pay attention when God is speaking to you.

It has been amazing how God has been working with this book all around the world. That following Monday night in our church’s prayer service, our Pastor played for us a video of a preaching he heard during that weeks conference that he had attendend in Chile! With a different mind blowing revelation but...Yes, that’s right! Chile – the country! Imagine how amazing God is, that even in another country God was speaking through that book.

At the same time, Ana gave the testimony that on a doctors appointment in Miami, the Doctor asked her if she knew who the second wife of Elkanah was. And Ana didn’t hesitate to reply that it was Peninah. He was blown away that she knew it and she spoke to him how she was studying that in our c2C’s meeting. He then commented that in his church they were studying the same book and they were going into Chapter 3, just like we were! How amazing is that!

God is so amazing and truly works in mysterious ways!

c2C "Bowling Night at Sparez"

Ok, so on October 9, 2010 we got together to fellowship in a night of bowling! We played the night away! The winners??? Don't know. We just played so I guess that makes us ALL WINNERS! I think that per lane, among the winners we had: Ruben, Edy and Abigail (Kids Lane - GO ABIGAIL!!!). I know I am missing someone but I can't remember. So if you were a winner, let me know and I will post it! It was a fun night! It was 33 of us! We ate pizza, chicken wings, soda, and Ice cream at Jackson's Parlor, laughter and overall we got to spend time with friends and co-workers.
Thanks Melissa, David and Matthew for joining us! We were blessed to have you among us. Here are a few pics for you to enjoy! We look like pros, at least most of us! Well...more like most of them! I had to be prayed for by Hugo and Joanna to be able to make a strike :) I tried people!!!

c2C goes out to Feed the Homeless

On September 18, 2010 we spent the afternoon with our brother Rafael Cambero supporting his ministry in feeding those less fortunate than us. This was indeed one of the most powerful life touching events we have ever done. The group got together to prepare some meals and we headed out to Downtown Miami to the homeless whom day after day are looking for a shelter or something to eat. With prayer and will we were able to accomplish the task at hand! God was faithful!

We were able to finally do what God has called us to do: to go out there and speak the word of truth to those in need. Here is a video with testimonies for you to see for yourself. Bible Study "1 Samuel" Month of September

c2C on Saturday, August 28, 2010 commenced a new Bible Study on the book of 1 Samuel that has lasted all through September.

Bob Deffinbaugh wrote the following statement and I agree, "while the people and events of 1 Samuel are from long ago and from far away, the struggles these men and women faced are the same as ours today, as we seek to live in a fallen world in a way that is pleasing to God. There are many ways in which we can identify with these ancient Israelites, and many lessons we can learn from their successes and failures. As we embark on our study, let us do so with a sense of expectation, praying that God may change us and work in our lives as He did in the lives of these men and women of old. May God use this book to make us men and women after His heart."

We have a powerpoint that we have been using that shows key points of what we have learned from the study, if you are interesed in getting a copy of it just let us know. For a better understanding please read in your Bibles 1 Samuel 1 - 3.

As the weeks are passing by, together we have realized how much treasures are found in each verse. We are all growing in knowledge of His word and we are continuously applying it to our daily lives. Topics such as: Jealousy, Trust, Faith, Sin, Love, Worship, Prophetic acts etc.

c2C Movie Night "Furious Love"

On August 21, 2010 we had a movie night. This time we watched a movie called "Furious Love." This movie is truly a must see!

Here is a brief summary of what it is about:

FURIOUS LOVE delves into the supernatural and miraculous moves of Jesus Christ around the world to bring people to Himself. With no agenda, disarmingly honest and non-hyped, with childlike curiosity and a very strong witness to Jesus as Savior, this documentary shows many lives changed because of Christ’s free gift of salvation.

FURIOUS LOVE is a wild ride that asks some honest questions and seeks out the answers with serious investment and resolve. The goal is to seek out and learn about Jesus’ love. The documentary is well made and genuine. Often, Western Christian responses to the supernatural are wildly different from the response of believers in other parts of the world, where spiritual darkness shows itself more overtly.

Join us next time that we watch a movie. Movies like this remind us the love of our God and that we should always be willing to share the good news to anyone at anytime because you never know what they are going through.

BC#2 ....AND THE WINNERS ARE? THE CHORIPANES

On Saturday, August 14, 2010 we had our 2nd Bible Challenge!

I must admit we truly had a great time! Although, one more time the ladies lost the challenge! BUT the guys totally rocked it! Half way through the Challenge, it was almost guaranteed that the ladies had won yet out of no-where with a word of motivation "PEP TALK" from their c2C leader Ruben Morales, the guys came back in the challenge with full force as if they had literally swallowed the word of God! DID YOU CHEAT AGAIN RUBEN?????

If you remember last time, the guys had called themselves “Real Men that love God” this time they opted for a name that was more suitable for them
“LOS CHORIPANES!!!!” lol – Just kidding GUYS! It does fit though!
The ladies this time, decided that they had being more refined and sophisticated and thereby called them selves “Emprendedoras." Unfortunately, the name did absolutely nothing for them for this challenge. Sorry girls! The truth shall set us free!!! Prepare yourself because the next challenge is coming up soon in December 11, 2010.

Encounter:Revive.Revolutionize 2010 Retreat

c2C on August 5 -7, 2010 joined PG for our 1st Encounter: Revive. Revolutionize 2010 Retreat.

It was truly a life changing retreat! Even as I write this my eyes are watery and as I listen to our theme song for our Retreat, my spirit and soul is moved by the greatness of our Lord and King!

God exceeded our expectations! His love for us so overwhelming that there was nothing left to do or say than to bow down at his feet. Here is a video with some pics of what happen. Hope you can join us next time.

"The 3 Most Important Days for God" Finance Seminar # 3

On Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 7:00pm we had the great privilege of having our own Pastor and Prophetess of our House: Lidia Zapico!
We closed our finance month with the amazing revelation that God gave her in respects to our finances. The title of her preaching ":

“THE 3 MOST IMPORTANT DAYS FOR GOD”

Do you know which those 3 days were? NOW, we do! If you don’t know, then let us share that with you.

1st DAY: Genesis 1:3-5 (HCSB), “God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and He called the darkness "night." Evening came, and then morning: the first day.”

2nd DAY: Genesis 1:6-8 (HCSB), Then God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters, separating water from water."7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above the expanse. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky."Evening came, and then morning: the second day.

3rd DAY: Genesis 1:9-13 (HCSB), “Then God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. 10 God called the dry land "earth," and He called the gathering of the water "seas." And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, "Let the earth produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit with seed in it, according to their kinds." And it was so. 12 The earth brought forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it, according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 Evening came, and then morning: the third day.”

At this point you must be asking yourself, so what does this have to do with finances? Well, the truth is, it has to do with EVERYTHING.

Pastora Lidia explained that 1st we must be organized with the things of God. This means we must be organized with how we handle our lives in every way and how we handle the things God has placed in our hands. God in the beginning as seeing in the first 2 days, he organized the earth. He separated the light from darkness, the water from the sky and finally on the third day, he was able to give us what will bring finances to our life: THE SEED!

C2C is all about the SEED! The seed is what gives the fruit. If there is no seed, there is no fruit! Therefore, if there is no fruit, there is no multiplication.

She further explained that the seed is what brings multiplication in the three different lives we have. Those are:
1. The natural biological life
2. The spiritual life
3. The celestial life

God has provided us with everything we need! He gave us the seed that we plant in the soil that will provide us food that will suffice our hunger. Yet, he also gave us the greatest seed of all, his Son Jesus Christ so that we will be able to suffice the Spiritual and Celestial hunger.

Luke 12:42 (HCSB) says,”The Lord said: "Who then is the faithful and sensible manager his master will put in charge of his household servants to give them their allotted food at the proper time? “

It is not about the amount of money we have but it is about how good of stewards we are with the money we do have. God is testing us in the earth to see how we handle his finances here, so that if he sees good stewards in us then he will be able to trust us in his eternal kingdom with his richness. How we manage our time will determine how we will minister his kingdom as well. Remember that the pact of faithfulness begins with our tithes.

We are called to be good stewards. God as our Master has deposited his finances in our hands and HAS GIVEN US THE PRIVILEDGE TO BRING HIS ORDER TO THIS WORLD!

C2C this was just a glimpse of what she spoke about. You really had to be there and needed to hear it for yourself. It was mind-blowing the revelation that was in this word!

"Breaking through the Mental Schemes/Paradigms"

The month of July, c2C declared it the month of finance. On Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 7:00pm we had a special guest, Silvia Sauve who taught us how to change our way of thinking in regards to our finances. The title of the message: “Breaking through the Mental Schemes/Paradigms.”

How many of you heard that money talks? Well, this Saturday, we actually heard everything it had to say! Here is a pic for you to enjoy! :)

Silvia taught us that our money is a tool for us to use. It is not our life or the reason we live for. But sometimes we don’t understand the difference between being rich and prosperous. God wants us to be prosperous. Being rich is one thing but being prosperous is another. Prosperous is defined as: auspicious or favorable, marked by success or economic well-being. And rich is defined as: having abundant possessions and especially material wealth.

The word of God in 3 John 1:2 (HCSB) says, “Dear friend, I pray that you may prosper in every way and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”
As you can see, God want us to PROSPER IN EVERY WAY. Not only in our finances but in everything we do, in our health, and even in our souls. Have you ever thought how your soul can prosper? If you have, then stop by cause that’s a topic we will be studying later on.

Timothy 6:9 (TNIV) says, “Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.” In this Bible verse, we are able to see that God warns us that if our desire is only to become rich, this alone will bring destruction to us. Remember, that the root of all evil is the love for richness.
We must be content with what we have but not conformed to it. Remember, that we are a channel of blessings.

So, here is a wise thing to live by that Silvia said:

“Earn all that you can, give all that you can, and save all that you can”

Wise key points to remember to better improve your finances:

Remember that buying with a credit card is stealing if beforehand you know you won’t be able to pay it on time. So be free of debt!

Everything has not been invented, therefore, there is always an opportunity to create something new or improve something. Don’t waste time! God doesn’t like us to waste time or things. So be productive!

We must be found faithful with what we have and we must do. Give your tithes and offerings to God!

If we can’t manage our finances, how will God be able to trust us to manage his ministry? So, keep in mind your purpose in God when dealing with your finances!

So there you go! Simple and straight to the point c2C!

We are happy to say that our 3 Month Prayer challenge was completed on July 19, 2010. WE DID IT! Let me clarify that. We are not happy that is over BUT we are happy that it was a victory!

To some of us it was a HUGE challenge (by that I mean ME). Three months ago, a group of us committed to waking up and praying early in the mornings in church every day (WE TRIED), seeking for God's will for our ministry, our church, our lives, our everything. We held each other accountable and when one of us missed, WE GOT ON EACH OTHERS CASE ABOUT IT! :)

So what was the end result? Well, prayer changes things! In this instance - PRAYER HAS CHANGED US.

Made us be more pationate about prayer.
Made us be accountable to one another.
Brought us closer to God and our church.
Each day it reminded us of how wonderful it is to wake up and dedicate your life to God by making HIM your first EVERYTHING!
The different Bible Studies that were given impacted our lives and brought a greater insight and understanding.
We learned to pray for others, and to receive the blessings of others praying for us.
To intercede for others by put others needs first before our own.
We have also learned that sometimes things can become a habit and that we must never get too comfortable (including our prayer life). But that WE MUST ALWAYS find new ways to impress God, new ways to seek God, new ways to love God. We must never let our relationship with God fall into a routine. We must challenge ourselves so that we might always grow closer to HIM each day! If He is constantly showing His unconditional love and His undivided attention to us, then we must always find a way to show God how in love we are with Him.

Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY, EVERY SECOND, EVERY MORNING SPENT IN PRAYER !

Will it stop? absolutely NOT! We have been changed and transformed! PRAYER each morning has now become a NEED! We can't live without talking to our CREATOR!

Was there a breakthrough? YES, It started from within.

Ask anyone who was part of it. THEY WILL TELL YOU!

What is Prayer? – Talking With God

What is prayer? Prayer is our direct line with heaven. Prayer is a communication process that allows us to talk to God! He wants us to communicate with Him, like a person-to-person phone call. Cell phones and other devices have become a necessity to some people in today’s society. We have bluetooth devices, blackberries, and talking computers! These are means of communication that allow two or more people to interact, discuss, and respond to one another. To many people, prayer seems complicated, but it is simply talking to God. Here are some points about what prayer is:

The Logistics

Many people question what is prayer because they desire to pray, but don’t know how.

Consider these tips:

What Do I Say? Praying is like talking to your best friend! It’s easy to talk to someone when you know they love you unconditionally! Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and make you new in Him! “Now turn from your sins and turn to God, so you can be cleansed of your sins” (Acts 3:19). Tell Him your needs! “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about what happens to you” (1 Peter 5:7). Thank Him, for He died on the cross at Calvary for us! “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

How Do I Say It? Here’s how I have learned to approach the Savior of my life.
With confidence and belief that He will deliver: “Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come fearlessly into God's presence, assured of his glad welcome” (Ephesians 3:12). “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it” (Hebrews 4:16). With joy that He can deliver. “You have shown me the way of life, and you will give me wonderful joy in your presence” (Acts 2:28).
With expectation that He is going to deliver. “Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly” (Psalm 5:3). “I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray” (Psalm 17:6).

What Does the Bible Say?

Pray for each other. Jesus set an example for us on what to pray. He prayed for His disciples and for every generation to come that would follow Him. His prayer was that God protect and strengthen them as long as they were in this world. Jesus also prayed for those who would come to believe in Him through the Gospel message (John 17).
Pray with faith. “So, you see, it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).
Pray with worship and reverence. “Exalt the LORD our God! Bow low before his feet, for he is holy!” (Psalm 99:5). “‘Yes, Lord,’ the man said, ‘I believe!’ And he worshiped Jesus” (John 9:38). You will know with confidence that God can hear you when you pray, so open that line of communication!
Pray, knowing that no matter how far you roam, your connection with Him can never be lost! “I pray that your love for each other will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in your knowledge and understanding” (Philippians 1:9).

1st Fundraiser for 2010 Encounter: Revive. Revolutionize Retreat

Last Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 6:00pm, c2C joined PG for their 1st Family Movie Night with the purpose of raising funds for our 2010 “Encounter: Revive. Revolutionize” retreat that we will be having in August 5 - 7, 2010 at Lake Placid, Fl.

The Movie? Amazing Grace.

The Food? Amazing Burgers.

The Experience? AMAZING.

We had a wonderful time to spend in fellowship with one another! This was a family event. Everyone was welcomed!

The kids room got converted into a theater and got to see their own movie: Lord of the Beans while enjoying their bag of popcorn.

They even had their own kids menu: Strawberry Milk Shake and Chicken Nuggets.

Thank you to all of you who came out to support us and those who came out to help us! We literally could not have done it without you!

Finance Seminar # 1 - Knowing the Power of God in YOUR Finances

Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 7:00pm, we had our 1st Finance Session with our Special Guest Speaker: Orlando Gomez. The word brought by Orlando was both inspiring and challenging.
Here is a recap of what we talked about:
We work to receive a wage. Once we receive our wages, there are only 2 things that we can do with the monies received:
1. Increase it
2. Decrease it

In Matthew 25:15 (TNIV) it says “To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.” When we read the entire parable, we can clearly see that when the monies are in our hands they can either increase or decrease. In other words, we can either multiply it or subtract from it.

What are ways of decreasing it?
1. It is reduce through poor entertainment
2. It is reduced through bad purchases.
FACT: We all must purchases things, BUT there are different types of buyers.
Examples:
i) The impulsive buyer – this is the buyer that see’s something and does whatever it takes to get it, whether they have the money or not, they will find a way to buy it, even if it means borrowing the money. Not a planned purchase.
ii) The authorized buyer – This is the buyer that thinks about how hard they have worked and because of it, he/she believes that they deserve it. Even when they don’t have the resources to pay for it.
iii) The jealous (I WANT WHAT SHE/HE HAS) buyer – this is the buyer that wants what others have but of a better quality. They are always trying to have better things than the rest.
iv) The immediate (I NEED IT NOW) buyer – this buyer doesn’t care about the price but only on the mere fact that they need it now. They don’t bother shopping around for a better bargain.
v) The emotional buyer – this buyer purchases things based on how they feel. Any occasion is a reason to buy things. They tend to fill in the voids of their lives through shopping.
ADVISE: Before buying anything, ALWAYS ask yourself, is this purchase a necessity, a want or a desire?
• A necessity is something we acquire that provides basic needs for our everyday life.
• A want is that which satisfies a basic need of our life but with better quality.
• A desire is all those things we wish we had but that are not basic needs to live.
3. It is reduced by not listening to advises.
Proverbs 13:18 it says “Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.”

4. It is reduced by avarice and greed – Ecclesiastics 5:10 says, “Those who love money never have enough; those who love wealth are never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.”

So what are ways of multiplying, increasing the money in our hands?
(1) Through obedience – Tithes and Offerings (Malachi 3:16)
(2) Savings
(3) Investments

How about it for our 1st Seminar? As you can see, The Bible is very specific in what we can do with our money and what the love of money can do to us. First, we must be able to identify where we are at, to know where we are going and how we are going to get there. The foundations have been established now we must get to business.

Movie Night - "Facing the Giants"

On Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 7:00pm, c2C had their 2nd "Movie Night." This time we joined together to see "FACING THE GIANTS." But this time, not only did we see the movie but we had a wonderful time sharing snacks, foods, etcs. We ate spiritually and phyisically!!!! YEI!

Here is a synopsis of the movie:

From the award winning producers of FLYWHEEL, comes an action-packed drama about a Christian high school football coach who uses his undying faith to battle the giants of fear and failure. In six years of coaching, Grant Taylor has never led his Shiloh Eagles to a winning season. After learning that he and his wife Brooke face infertility, Grant discovers that a group of fathers are secretly organizing to have him dismissed as head coach. Devastated by his circumstances, he cries out to God in desperation. When Grant receives a message from an unexpected visitor, he searches for a stronger purpose for his football team. Afterwards, we spent sometime talking about how our daily walk in life relates to the struggles seeing in the movie. Edy shared with us a word and gave us a questionnaire that made us think about our lifes and how we can face our own GIANTS!

c2C-Connected to Cure-"Healing the Wounded"

On Saturday, June 20, 2010 our Deacon: Edy Canel brought a very special word, which he titled “Healing the Wounded” in Spanish “Vendando las Heridas.”

Most of us in our lives have been wounded at one point in our lives. Some have been wounded physically, others emotionally, others spiritually and others a combination of all these. The pain and hurt felt through any of these types of wounds, usually leaves a scar behind. A scar that many types is too painful to look at. Each scar is a reminder of those days of tears, agony and pain, where you felt your heart torn apart into pieces and it seemed like there was nothing that could ever put it back together again.

Many hidden wounds are found deep in the heart. Some of these are based on past experiences. Examples of such are: Severe Criticism, Hatred, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Emotional Abuse and even Spiritual Abuse. These wounds can be caused even by your closest loved ones, your spouse, family and brothers/sisters in Christ.

Even though at times we might think we are OK, we all must know that: WE ALL HAVE WOUNDS THAT NEED TO BE HEALED! In EXODUS 15:26, God promises to heal us if we obey His laws! As stated before, the healing promised by God is not only physical but in all the other areas in our lives as well. In Psalm 147:3 it says that “He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.” In this verse, it is not talking about a physical healing but of a person brokenhearted, which is more of a spiritual healing. Brokenhearted is defined as: Having the spirits depressed or crushed by grief or despair.

For example: Think of a failed love relationship. Usually during a breakup, either one of the individuals involved would be more brokenhearted than the other or both (depending on the reasons of the breakup). During these process, the emotional pain felt in the heart is unbearable and it seems like you will never be happy again. Sometimes, we spend our lives obsessed with the idea of what could have been but never was and believe that if we would have done something different, the result wouldn't have been the same. Perhaps, it could have been different or perhaps, God allowed it to happen the way it did, for us to learn and see others things that we didn't see before. After all, God knows every move and allows it because He knows that no matter what, His WILL will be done. The one thing we do know for sure, is that the pain was horrible and the wounds were made and they needed healing.

So, how do we get healed from those painful deep wounds?

FIRST THINGS FIRST! KNOW THAT GOD IS WITH YOU AND HE HAS PROMISED TO HEALED YOUR BROKEN HEART (PSALMS 147:3).

Once you know that, here are 5 STEPS that Edy gave TO HEALING YOUR WOUNDS:

1. BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS TO IDENTIFY AND ADMIT YOUR WOUNDS!
ONLY THEN, YOU CAN BE ON YOUR WAY TO HEALING (IN THIS STEP, YOU MUST RECOGNIZE THAT YOU NEED HELP) – PSALMS 39:2-3 AND PSALMS 32:3.

2. LET GO OF RESENTMENT TOWARDS THOSE WHO HAVE FORGOTTEN US! –

ROMANS 12:17 AND HEBREWS 12:15.

3. IF YOU WANT TO BE HEALED, YOU MUST REPLACE THE HURTFUL MEMORIES WITH GODS TRUTHS. WE MUST SEE OURSELVES HOW GOD SEES US. ROMANS 12:2

4. CONCENTRATE IN THE FUTURE AND NOT IN THE PAST. PROVERBS 4:25-27

5. HELP OTHERS

c2C aka CHALLANGED 2 CONQUER

Have you ever being challenged to do something by someone who is very important to you? Perhaps, you were challenged by your boss to finish a project in a specific amount of time. If so, than c2C can relate to YOU! Because c2C has been challenged by GOD (THE BIG BOSS) to conquer! Yeah, that’s right! We are now c2C “Challenged 2 Conquer.” This is what we spoke about on our last meeting on Saturday, June 12, 2010.

We were asked to write down our plans, desires, goals or dreams for the 7 major areas of our lives: Your family life, your love life, your spiritual life, your friendship life, your work life, your financial life and your physical life. Reason we wrote them down: Read - Habakkuk 2:2-3.

Once we completed writing down our plans, goals and dreams – we studied Gods plans, goals and dreams for us in reference to all those areas of our lives. In Philippians 4:19 (TNIV), it says “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." This Bible verse states that God will supply ALL our needs. All our needs is not only financial but in every area of our life. And an unfulfilled dream or goal is a need not being met. Therefore, we believe that God will supply all our needs, when they align to His will.

In the last couple of weeks we have learned that we have been “chosen 2 change” and “called 2 commit”, but now that we know that: what are we going to do about it?
We asked ourselves: Can we change the fact that we have been chosen and called? The answer: NO
But what we can do is CHANGE AND COMMIT so that we can CONQUER THE CHALLENGE!
We began to define the word Challenge as: to confront or defy boldly and conquer as to overcome or to be more than conqueror.
The word of God tells us that we are more than conquerors through Christ (Read Romans 8:30-37). Therefore, if we are more than conquerors through Christ, we can fight the good battle and know that we have already won with victory.
Remind you; God NEVER breaks a promise and whatever He has promised, He will do. God doesn’t change his mind. (Read Psalms 55:19, 1 Samuel 15:29 and Numbers 23:19-20).

So if God, has promised us to be more than conquers through Him who loves us, what is holding us back and what can we do to start seeing results in our lives?
The answer: WE ARE HOLDING US BACK!
(We don’t walk in faith enough, we don’t read His word enough, we don’t speak His word enough, we don’t pray enough, we don’t seek Him enough, we don’t fight for what is already ours!) WE ARE THE PROBLEM!
When we are able realize that we are the problem, than we open a new opportunity for change to occur in our lives. What kind of change?

Well, we must change:
1. Change our ways/actions. (Jeremiah 7:5)
2. Change our minds. (James 4:8 – 10)
3. Change our hearts. (1 Kings 8:46–48 & 2 Chron. 6:37)
(1 Samuel 10:9)
4. Change our way of speaking. (Job 9:27)
5. Change our clothes. (Genesis 41:14)
6. Change into a different person. (1 Samuel 10:6)
7. Change our form of prayer (KEY)

In our walk with Christ, we know that all things we have are because of Him and for Him. All promises given from Him to us are for us to glorify Him. WE, C2C, need to understand that it’s ALL about HIM and NOTHING about US. In ALL THESE AREAS – GOD needs to be glorified, if He is not, then there is an opportunity for change. When we pray and ask God, we must pray with His Word. It is the Word of God, that will bring the answers and responses we need for our life. We can’t only pray, asking from our own simple thoughts, we must REMIND GOD, of each one of HIS PROMISES. Not because He has forgotten BUT because He is glorified when you use His Word. When you use His word, its because you are gaining greater knowledge, when you speak His Word, Your own ears will listen to it, and this will activate the faith, knowing that HE will do that which He has promised you.

7 Steps to CONQUER THE CHALLENGE:
1 . Realize the situation that needs change: Ask for his help/Seek Him at all times
2. Trust him with your life – (Commit your life to him. PSALMS 37:5 – “Commit your way to the Lord; Trust in Him and He will do this) – Let go and let God.
3. Commit all things in prayers (Psalms 30:5)
4. Win the battle in your mind and know that you have already WON the battle through Him
5. Have faith and not fear.
6. Learn to be content as you wait (KNOWING that He will fulfill each one of the promises)
7. Finally, Thank Him and give Him glory even before you receive the answer and promise.

c2c aka "CALLED 2 COMMIT"

Last week we spoke about how c2C has been “chosen 2 change”. This week, on Saturday, June 5, 2010 Ruben brought a new revelation of c2c – this time: “Called 2 Commit.” Our ministry is dedicated to connect 2 Christ (c2c) and last week we learned that because of that connection to our Lord Jesus Christ, we were “Chosen 2 change” (c2c). But like in everything, WE MUST COMMIT, if we want to see change. Therefore, we were not only chosen 2 change but “CALLED 2 COMMIT.”

You might ask yourself. Commit to what or whom? The answer: Commit to God, commit to one another, commit till we see the victory.

Ruben open his preaching with 2 Corinthians 1:20(TNIV)-“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.” Through this Bible verse we can clearly see that God himself is a God of commitment and promise.

For example: Jesus was first chosen by God to be His sacrifice that would change our destiny and offer us salvation. But Jesus was also called by God to commit for this special task. If Jesus had chosen to not commit and had not decided to die for our sins, then there would be no hope of salvation for us. In His great love for us, Jesus committed and completed the task that gave us the greatest gifts of all – salvation. Therefore, if Jesus committed his life to God, we need to be imitators of Jesus and commit our lives to God as well. Ephesians 5: 1 says “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children.”

For a better understanding Ruben defined the TWO KEY WORDS for his preaching: Called and Commitment. Called is defined as "to call from one place to another, to summon." The word Commitment is split in two: com= an agreement with God and a person/oneself and mitment= promise between God and a person/oneself.

In other words, WE have been called by God to leave the things of this world so that we may follow Him to eternal life. But in order to do so, we must commit to Him. Thereby, when we commit to God we have come into an agreement that leads us to all His promised blessings.

So what can we say about a person who is committed? Well, a person who is committed is a responsible person. This reminds me of the movie “Spiderman.” Although, I am not promoting how good this movie is, WHICH IT IS, I wanted to focus on the scene where Spiderman’s uncle tells him “WITH GREATER POWER, GREATER RESPONSIBILITY.” There is a great truth to that. Jesus had all the power in the world, but at the same time He had all the responsibility in the world.

So analyze yourself! Are you a committed person? Are you a responsible person? Are you committed and responsible with your marriage? Your family? Your Work? Your School? Your Ministry? AND your finances?
NOTICE that we said “AND” and NOT “OR.” A responsible committed person in God is RESPONSIBLE AND COMMITTED IN ALL AREAS OF HIS/HER LIFE.

If you were not able to answer YES to those questions that you are in for a shocker!

Did you know the instability of a person who doesn’t commit is prone to be attacked by the enemy and thereby is most likely to lose the promise given to them by God?

Let me rephrase that for you: If you are not a man/woman of commitment and responsibility than you are considered an UNSTABLE PERSON. And an unstable person is also known as a: BACKSLIDER, HYPOCRITE, and INDECISIVE PERSON.
So, do you want to be known like that? WE HOPE NOT, IF NOT, THEN YOU MUST LEARN HOW TO IDENTIFY THE ATTACKS OF THE ENEMY THAT CAN CAUSE YOU TO BECOME AN UNSTABLE PERSON. Those attacks can come in the form of: Fear, Lost hope, Distraction, Lack of confidence, Difficulties/ challenges, Time, Past Experiences and Lack of Responsibility. YET the greatest attack of all is that one found in FEAR: FEAR is the mother of all emotions. AND because fear is an emotion caused by the mind, commitment is not made.

So you decide! Do you want to commit to God? Or do you choose to walk like hypocrites, indecisive backsliders?

Keep in mind, our future is more important than our emotions. So don’t let fear rule your life and prevent you from committing to the One who holds all promises. c2C aka=Called 2 Commit

c2C aka "CHOSEN 2 CHANGE"

If you missed our c2C meeting on Saturday, May 29, 2010, you missed out on a new revelation of what our ministry name stands for. For those of you who do not know the original meaning: “c2C” stands for “connected 2 Christ.”
Our slogan: Connecting together to connect 2 Christ!
In the last couple of weeks in our 5am prayer challenge, a group of us has been asking God for Him to bring new direction, strategies and revelation for our ministry. And as we all know when God promises something in His word, He keeps. Matthew 18:19-20 it says “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." We have believed His word and we believe that when God speaks to one of us, He is speaking to ALL of us. In one of those prayers, God brought to Ruben’s heart the word “Commitment.” As we spoke about what God was trying to tell us, we felt strongly in our hearts that c2C’s name was truly given by God with a greater purpose and revelation.
This is where our preaching for that Saturday service came in. c2C is centered in Christ, that’s why we are connected to Him. But c2C has also been “chosen 2 change – c2c”, we have been chosen to change. We are called to be imitators of Jesus Christ and just like Jesus was the “chosen” one to “change” our destiny. Our ministry was chosen to cause change in this wicked world. In Deuteronomy it says “For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.” We studied how God chose Moses, Abraham, Joshua, Esther, King David, etc. In Genesis 18:9 it says “For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.” Just like Jesus and Abraham and the rest mentioned above, among many more, they had been chosen for a specific task, which would change the course of history. Just like them, c2C has been chosen to change the course of history. We are all instruments in the hands of the Lord! We have chosen to be His eyes, His mouth, His hands and feet and wherever He tells us we need to go, we will go. And whatever He tells us we need to do, we will do. Because we are connected to Christ, and Christ was chosen, we are also chosen to bring change in this age of time. But in order for us to change, we must be willing to “COMMIT.” Why? Well, because c2C also stands for “Called 2 Commit.” Ruben will go deeper into this next week.
For now, c2C just remember that YOU and I are connected to Christ and because of Him; we were chosen to change the world!

On Saturday, May 22, 2010, c2C/Prophetic Generation held its 1st picnic at C.B Smith Park from 10am till like 6pm! We had an amazing TIRING time! But let me rephrase that, because according to some of you, in the, WE, it does not involve ME! Because “SUPPOSEDLY” I spent half of the afternoon in the car and the other half under the shade of a tree, while they ran around the park looking for their next clue! (So…not true! but I guess the sunburn everyone received was the proof.) HA HA HA!!! this pic is NOT PROOF! LOL :)

For those of you, who weren’t able to make it, let me give you an overview of how the day went.

The day started off with a friendly game of volleyball! Not sure who won, but they did seem to have fun! Meanwhile, c2C was preparing for what would be the challenge of the day, our very first Scavenger Hunt. Around, 11:00am, we got together to dedicate some time to worship and praise our King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Thank you Esteban, Joel and Jonathan for letting God use you with your talents. Next, Ruben brought a word that made us reflect on how our walk with God is just like a scavenger hunt. Along the way, God is always providing clues so that we might head to the grand prize, eternal life with Him. But, even though sometimes we have the clues in our hands, we fail to read the instructions and instead take detours that just delays to our destiny and purpose in life. Thank you Ruben for bringing the word of God to our lives. Meanwhile, this was happening: c2Cs homeboys – Edy, Jimy and Rafael were preparing some exquisite burgers! Thank you guys for being our Iron Chefs! Your burgers were yummy for the tummy! Um um um good!

Now, that we had been fed spiritually and physically. It was time to lose those extra pounds! How? Through our 2 – 3 hour Scavenger Hunt! Yes… that’s right 2 – 3 hours! We had 6 groups of around 5 to 6 people each who were challenged from puzzles, biblical riddles, Bible questions, marshmallow competitions, water challenges, etc. through clues that were spread throughout C.B Smith Park.

Some teams had no shamed running into occupied pavilions looking for their next clues. Other teams, asked strangers to lend them their doggy so that their task was checked off as completed! Other teams were so lost it’s not even funny to mention that they spent 2 hours driving around the park not knowing where they were going. Others “THOUGHT” they won and didn’t even realize that they didn’t get the 1st clue! In other words, a few teams were CLUELESS! But my respect goes out to 2 teams: Team with Driver/Leader: Esteban Zapico and Team with Driver/Leader: Jonathan Brand. Your teams earned the highest points! Great Job!

BUT, in this challenge we could only have 1 winner and the last challenge was for each group to send the pictures of the tasks that required proof. The only team who sent and completed the last task: The WINNING TEAM - the Green Team: Esteban and his crew: Jonathan E., Edwin, Flavia and Jenny. CONGRATULATIONS GUYS/GALS! YOU WON OUR FIRST SCAVENGER HUNT!
For the rest, better study the word of God more, exercise, and learn how to read and follow instructions!!!! OH AND DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT CHEATING! It was easy to point out the cheaters! Ha! We still love you!

Well people that was pretty much it! You really had to be there to enjoy it! Thank you to all those who participated! Here is the proof!

May 15, 2010 -Holiness/Santidad

On May 15, 2010, we invited a special speaker to share the word of God that God himself had placed in her heart. Her name: Odelaysis Saco. She is one of the intercessors of our church, Jesus Vive Hoy. Her topic: Holiness/sanctify

(in spanish – santidad).
Odelaysis started off with a powerful statement: “WHEN I AM MADE WHOLE IN CHRIST, I WILL NOT LOOK FOR EXTERNAL THINGS TO SATISFY MY INTERNAL DESIRES.”

But we ask ourselves, what does it mean to be made whole? She explained that WHOLE implies that nothing has been omitted, ignored, abated, or taken away. It also means to be healed, redeemed, and saved completely,

Therefore, when you are whole in Jesus Christ, there is no room for darkness.

Romans 7: 15-17 (TNIV) it says “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.”

Our sinful nature will automatically take us to do what it is not pleasing before God but when we decide in our hearts to follow God and walk like Christ walked, we will do the things that are right and pleasing before God. The question is how can we live in holiness? Well, to start off, we must go back to the word of God and understand what 1 Corinthians 10:23 says "I have the right to do anything," you say—but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything"—but not everything is constructive.”
This is free will! God gives us the free will to do whatever we please BUT he also warns us that even though we have the freedom to do whatever, not everything is good for us. This means that we must be wise in making our decisions and always consult with the Holy Spirit to guide us to the right path. And how do we consult Him? Well there are multiple of ways: through prayer, through the Word of God and through the active listening of the Holy Spirit that we would have established when we built a Real relationship with God.

So, in order to live in holiness, we must abide by Gods law. And what is God’s law? The word of God. In John 17:14-17 it says “I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by [a] the truth; your word is truth.”
The word of God is what will sanctify us. The word of God is what will help us to live in holiness.
1 Peter 1:15-16 says “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy. Since you call on a Father who judges each person's work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear."

When we live our lives following Gods word, we will live in reverence to God. And when we live in reverence to God, we will live in holiness before Him. We will be whole in Him when we reach the fullness of the knowing of Christ. When we know who we are in Christ. We are whole in Him. So, when we are whole in Him, we will live in holiness, because God is Holy.

C2C, we challenge you to live in Holiness before God, in reverence before Him. As Odelaysis stated “When you know that God knows the intentions of your heart, you will walk more carefully, with wisdom, more cautious of what you are, what you and of what you say” Read Psalms 139 to find out more of what God knows about you!

Once again, we have been challenged in another area of our lives to live in Holiness!

Last Saturday, c2C had its 1st Bible Challenge!!!! We had a wonderful time, full of laughter and tears (tears from the laughter of course!).

THE SET UP:
• 2 TEAMS (MEN VS WOMEN)
• Approx. 40 questions based on anything from things covered during our last ten c2c meeting teachings to what type of food we ate during one of our outings to challenging Bible verses/topics discussed by our Special Speakers.
• PRIZES INCLUDED!!!!! (CHEAP ONES BUT THEY ARE PRIZES :)!!!)

So, we asked both of our teams to choose a name for their team. After many rebuttals between the men and the women, in their pursue to accomplish their difficult task of choosing a team name (names thrown out in the open like: “VENCEDORAS” for the ladies and the men coming back at them with oh yeah then we are “MAS QUE VENCEDORES”), they were finally able to settle to the following: the men: REAL MEN LOVE JESUS! (Very originally LONG ;) LOL… BUT I do have to agree IT WAS POWERFUL). Definition of the name and reason for choosing the name: self explanatory!
Note to the Guys: GUYS NEXT TIME, please choose a shorter name…it was hard to call you guys out every time it was your turn (TRY SAYING IT YOURSELF time after time!…LOL …SEE OUR POINT).
The ladies on the contrary, went with a one word name: ARREBATADORAS (a long word too but at least it was ONE word, THANK YOU ladies for trying to make our job easier!)
Definition of the name and reason for choosing the name: Arrebatadora = que arrebata/to snatch, reason: to “arrebatar” or snatch away the points from the men. Unfortunately, team ARREBATADORAS wasn’t able to live up to its name. BUT IT WAS A WELL FOUGHT BATTLE! We are proud of you girls!

At times, we had to rebuke the SPIRIT OF CHEATING trying to move in the REAL MEN THAT LOVE JESUS! LOL!!!! (UMMMMM…who could that have been??? Could it have started with…RUBEN???? The leader??? The SCORE TAKER… am I putting you out there AGAIN??? LOL…JUST KIDDING GUYS!!! HE IS A REAL MEN THAT LOVES JESUS AND likes to "help out" other real men that love Jesus. LOL…
All kidding aside, TEAM: REAL MEN LOVE JESUS – you guys ROCKED IT! You astonished us (the ladies) with your wisdom and knowledge! Keep up the good work!
TEAM: ARREBATADORAS – JUST THANK GOD, THE MEN KNEW THE WORD OF GOD! THAT MEANS OUR PRAYERS ARE WORKING…!!!

Lesson 3: I AM PROPERTY OF GOD/I AM A SOLDIER OF GOD

On Saturday, May 1, 2010, Ruben continued his lesson and finished up on the book “Who I am in Christ” by wrapping up KEY POINTS # 2 –8. But for the matter of this blog, we will focus on Key Point # 2 – I AM PROPERTY OF GOD (1 John 5:19-20) and # 8 - I AM A SOLDIER OF GOD. KEY POINT # 2- He started by defining the word property as something that is bought, something you work for, something that belongs to you/own, or something you have dominion of.
He used THE PERFECT example: Gods greatest demonstration of love, giving His son Jesus Christ for our salvation. What does this mean? Well…, in this act of sacrifice, God purchase OUR life in the cross. Thereby, making us only His and because of that, He has the authority to rule over our life.
Once we understand that our life belongs to God then, we will understand that we need to consult with Him in everything we plan or want to do and every decision we make will be based on Him.
Does it matter the type of decision? Of course not! You can ask God to guide you in everything or anything you want. In fact, you should consult with Him first regardless of the subject. For example, it can be anything from asking Him to guide you to make the best decision in the purchase of your next car/house, or school you should attend to, the next job you take or about marrying someone. In all situations, we should seek for Gods PERFECT WILL to be done in our lives. WHY? SIMPLY BECAUSE… HE IS THE ABSOLUTE OWNER OF YOUR LIFE AND MY LIFE.
Ruben further explained that God it is either black or white. THEREFORE, THERE IS NO ROOM FOR A GRAY AREA! We are with God or we are against God! And because of that, everything that you are and do, you do it because of Him and for Him.
As the night continued, Ruben continued to explain the remaining 6 key points left that were mentioned back in April 10, 2010, in Lesson # 2 Gifts of Love.
But before we leave let me share something that Ruben is passionate about: our walk with Christ as soldiers. KEY POINT # 8: I AM A SOLDIER OF CHRIST (2 Timothy 2:3-4). If you already come to the meetings, you will know exactly what I am talking about (In the movie “300” Gerald Butler screams: SPARTA, in “c2C” Ruben Morales screams: JESUS!!!) If not, then please stop by and come see it for yourself. See Ruben, we learned! ;) But for now, let me leave you with the following statement written by Ruben himself:
“If you are called a Soldier, it is because there is an Army and a battle to win. We each face different battles, it can be the battle of faith, an unsaved loved one, a job, your school, your kids, your ministry, your work, time, etc..NO MATTER WHAT YOUR BATTLE IS, It is a PRIVILEGE to be enrolled in the Divine Army. Although there are many advantages of being part of it, the best advantage is that we will ALWAYS be victorious in the name of Jesus Christ. Our Father, the Commanding Officer gives us the guarantee of victory & honor at all times. The soldier that fights honorably will receive recognition by God. To become a good soldier we need to fight the battle of faith and take dominion of the flesh. So, what are the weapons of a good soldier? There are five: The Word of God, Prayer, Fasting, the Blood of Jesus Christ and a good testimony. All Soldiers receive honor, BUT the brave soldiers will receive more honor; therefore, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT the battle against the flesh and receive the crown of eternal life."

Concierto de Primavera 2010

Last Saturday, April 24, 2010, c2C went to Concierto de Primavera 2010 at James L. Knight Center! Yup! We had a great time, especially the fellowship we had with our newest c2C members. Yes, thats right: Siblings, Martha and William Figueroa! Welcome to c2C guys! We truly enjoyed getting to know you!

BUT WAIT!!!!! Lets not forget a VERY SPECIAL PERSON THAT WE "C2C" HAVE BEEN AFTER SINCE WE STARTED. PEOPLE!!!!!! FOR THE 1ST TIME IN C2C's EXISTENCE, HE HONORED US WITH HIS PRESENCE AND JOINED US IN THE CONCERT!!!! WANT TO GUESS WHO IT IS???????

Well, for those who don't know...ITS YOU, JIMY CANEL!!!!! THANK YOU, we were thrilled about you coming! We hope to see you there saturday after saturday! c2C is incomplete without YOU!

Want a recap of the concert???? You won't believe what we went through!!!!

Lets see, we drove down to Miami, we parked elsewhere to SAVE parking $$$$! So that meant, we needed to take the metrorail! Which we did! GOOD JOB C2C!.... so far :/

As the metrorail was moving, it came to a sudden STOP in one of the corners right before our EXIT- KNIGHT CENTER. We were distracted by comments said by other passangers in the Metrorail, that we didn't realize that we had just passed our exit! Now, we are riding the metrorail...having an awesome time making jokes and all.... ;0) but not paying attention to where we are going! WE TOTALLY MISSED THE SIGN FROM GOD WARNING US ABOUT OUR EXIT!

our LEADER: RUBEN MORALES JR, takes the lead and leads us like MOSES lead Israel, mile after mile (WALKING - in heels for the ladies!) to the WRONG arena!!!!! LOL!!!! :) Thanks Ruben! We needed the exercise and the sweat........... BEFORE A CONCERT???? Us like the people of ISRAEL, we faithfully followed him blindly!!!! WE STILL TRUST YOU, RUBEN!

Once we realize we had headed the wrong way for about 30 minutes, we decided to analyze and think! We should have done that before, don't you think????

LOL but WE DIDNT! BUT...the fault was not only Ruben's, at least 3 of us were carrying a gps, a printed out map of the place, the address, phones, etc. AND NO ONE STOPPED TO THINK TO USE THEM!!!!!

THAT SHOWS YOU HOW GREAT OF A TIME WE WERE HAVING!!!! WE WERE JUST WALKING, TALKING AND LAUGHING FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES HEADING THE WRONG WAY!

Finally, we asked someone to point us out to the right arena, in the right direction and we were able to make it to our destiny: the concert - 30 MINUTES LATE OF COURSE!!!!

Once we got there, we realize we weren't that late...we got there midway the 1st opening song of the concert! After that, we were astonished by the talent of all those worshipping God that Knight! - Overall favorites - Ekklesia Worship, Lily Goodman, UNDIVIDED, and Roberto Orellana! It was an overwhelming feeling when the largest flag of the world was going around the arena and we were praying for the salvation of our nations!!!! Moments of tears, laughter, joy and some physical pain (BLEEDING TOES ;0) was experienced that night!

Afterwards, we headed out to Cazolas for some Pizza and Chicken Wings!!!! YUMMY!!!

What a great night!!!!! We were blessed!!!!

A NEW HEART, A NEW SPIRIT

Saturday, April 17, 2010 was another special meeting for us. God used one of our church’s Minister (father of two of our c2C Leaders: Ruben Jr. and Ileana Morales), our guest speaker for the month: Brother Ruben Morales, to impart a Word that was a double edged sword that touched our hearts! We were literally with our mouths wide open from the revelation this man of God had brought to us. Our face expressions must have revealed our astonishment, that even Brother Ruben asked if we were ok? Sorry, Brother Ruben if we did NOT pretend to NOT be amazed, but it’s just that the members of c2C are real individuals and we are not afraid to show when God is working and touching us and actually admitting it! ;)

His topic: “A NEW HEART, A NEW SPIRIT”
Isn’t the title of his message alone impacting? We sure thought so!

Bible verse: Ezekiel 36:26-27 (TNIV), “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."

So, this is how the preaching went:

To start off, not only did Brother Ruben bring an impacting Word, but he taught us how to make the Word of God real in our lives from the moment we began reading it! He explained that the way we read the Word of God, will determine the impact it will have in our lives. He advised us to take the time to read it word by word, dissect it and digest it!

Once we had read the Bible verse and we had let God talk to us through His Word alone, we began to dissect it.

Brother Ruben said that we must acknowledge the fact that we were all born physically alive, but spiritually dead!

This statement is back up by Psalms 51:5 (TNIV) says, “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”

The next thing to do was to understand what the heart was. He explained that the heart is the soul where our emotions and feelings are found, and that the heart alone is wicked. Brother Ruben further explained that the soul is the heart and that the mind is the heart as well! God tests the heart so that He might give us according to our ways and the fruits of our work.

Because the heart is wicked, God wants to search our hearts! Sometimes we spend so much time doing good works and not realize that our heart is not right with God. He continued by saying that sin and God can‘t dwell in the same place. Therefore, if we live in sin, God can’t dwell in our hearts. If God dwells in our hearts, there is no room for sin. Even though our heart is the interior being that feels, at the same time it is corrupted and wicked.

BUT there is GOOD NEWS as read in Ezekiel 36:26-27, where He promises us to give us a new heart and a new spirit and that HE will remove from us our heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh. At the same time, HE will put His Spirit in us and move us to follow his decrees.

What an amazing God we have! Even when He knows how wicked our hearts are, He always gives us something better so that we might be perfected in Christ.

Brother Ruben explained that once we receive the new heart and the new spirit, it automatically brings out new desires and hopes! THIS DESIRES AND HOPES ARE NOW ALIGNED TO HIS WILL! FOR EXAMPLE: It’s like a GPS has being installed in our lives and now there is a destiny and purpose to follow where we are guided and if we are side tracked, God will reroute us to get us back in His will.

He stated “At this point, we are not the same. We have not become God BUT we have GOD in us!

Proverbs 4:23 (TNIV) says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

See the importance of our heart?

Just like his son, Ruben Jr. had explained about the gifts of God in one of his preaching’s, his father, Brother Ruben, explained that a new heart and a new spirit are also gifts from God to us. Reminds me of the saying, “like father, like son”

He concluded by encouraging us to renew our minds and for us to receive our new heart and new spirit with joy!

Brother Ruben, thank you for bringing the Word that God placed in your heart for us! We humbly receive it and we pray that this will become real in our lives!

Lesson 2: Who am I in Christ? - Gifts - Love

On Saturday, April 10, 2010 as promised, our own c2C Leader: Ruben Morales Jr. began to answer the questions left unanswered from our 1st Lesson of Who am I in Christ covred back in March 27, 2010.

THE QUESTION: WHO AM I IN CHRIST?
To begin to understand who we are, we MUST know AND believe with our hearts the following statements:
1. I was chosen by Love (Ephesians 1:4-5)
2. I am property of God (1 John 5:19-20)
3. I am a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17)
4. I am a creation of his image (Genesis 1:27)
5. I am a son/daughter of promise (Galatians 4:28)
6. I am a member of the body of Christ (Ephesians 5:30-32)
7. I am his creation (Ephesians 2:10)
8. I am a soldier of Christ (2 Timothy 2:3-4)

During this meeting, Ruben focused on Statement # 1 – I was chosen by love.
He started by asking us the following questions: WHAT IS LOVE? And WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE IN LOVE?
Here are some of his answers combined with a bit of ours: When you love someone you shower them with gifts, you do anything for them, you cry with them, you laugh with them, you spend time with them, you speak with them and you think of them.

So what does that have to do with who we are in Christ? Well, we are here because God loved us so much that he has done everything for us. He constantly showers us with gifts. He cries with us when we cry, He laughs with us when we laugh. He loves to spend time talking with us and is ALWAYS thinking of us! His gifts to us are revealed in many different ways! Read ahead!

The greatest gift of all from God to us: grace –this gift was given when He gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, for our salvation because He loved us so. Even though we didn’t deserve it, His love for us was greater!

He further asked: what are other gifts from God for us? To answer that, Ruben explained that because we believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, there are different gifts given to us from each one of them (WHAT AN AMAZING REVELATION!). That means: WE GET SEPARATE GIFTS FROM THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT! TALK ABOUT BEING SPOILED BY OUR DADDY-thats alot of gifts!!!

Here is a brief list of them all:

Romans 12:6-8 (TNIV) - 6 we have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

SEVEN GIFTS FROM THE FATHER (the purpose and basic motivation of life):
1. The gift of Prophesies
2. The gift of service (Matthew 20:26)
3. The gift of teaching
4. The gift of exhortation/encouragement (Act 4:36, Hebrew 10:25)
5. The gift to allocate or spread/give (2 Corinthians 1:12, 8:2, 9:11-13)
6. The gift of perseverance/lead
7. The gift of mercy/compassion

Ephesians 4:11-12 (TNIV), “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
FIVE GIFTS FROM THE SON (to equip the body of Christ and help our mission):
1. APOSTLES
2. PROPHETS
3. EVANGELISTS
4. PASTORS
5. TEACHERS

1 Corinthians 12:8-10 (TNIV), “To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

NINE GIFTS FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT:
1. The word of wisdom
2. The word of science/knowledge
3. Faith
4. Healing
5. Miraculous Powers
6. Prophesies
7. Discernment
8. Ability to speak in different tongues
9. Interpretation of Tongues

Other gifts include special grace which can be hospitality and celibacy!

As you can see, as the weeks pass by we are getting deeper and deeper into God’s word! Thereby, making it harder for us to write out all we are learning. That’s why we encourage you to join us in our next meeting. It's our desire that we all grow in knowledge and wisdom in His word, so that we may live according to His will and purpose for our life. This way we use all of our gifts given to us for the excellence of His kingdom!

Thank you God for loving us and showering us with so many gifts!

On April 03, 2010, meanwhile some of us were in Guatemala; c2C was being blessed by one of our church’s Elders: Edy Canel. Edy’s message was titled: Service to God.

He started off by asking the following question:

Why do YOU serve God? Some possible answers to that question could be: “I serve God because He is good, because others do it or because I might as well do something in church if I come to it.” Can you relate to that? If you can identify yourself with these statements, then you need to continue reading this. If not, it doesn’t matter, still read it!

Edy emphasized that first we must have the mentality of a servant to serve God. A servant is defined as a person in the service of another. Our service to God is also a form of worship, of ministering and of obedience.

Read what the Bible says in Philippians 2:3-8 (TNIV) “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross! And in Mark 10:45 it reads, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." In other words, If Jesus did it, YOU MUST DO IT TOO! After Jesus resurrected, the first thing he did was that of serving his own disciples. (Read John 21:4-12).

Edy further explained this with an illustration. He compared our church to a 5 star restaurant. Just like in a 5 star restaurant where you are served the best food and drink that will satisfy your hunger, the church functions by spiritually feeding you the best food and drink that will satisfy the hunger in your soul. The difference is that in a restaurant, you are paying for this service with $ and in church you are NOT. This is given to you FREE OF CHARGE! Therefore, the least you can do to show your gratitude is by being a servant to God and others. This can mean cleaning the bathrooms, sweeping and mopping the floors, helping others, and even with financial offerings. These are only a few to mention.

So what happens when you get tired of serving?
Well, when you get tired of serving, this is when YOU LOSE FOCUS OF THE ONE YOU ARE SERVING, VISION, PURPOSE and DESTINY (WOW, what a powerful statement!). Definitely don’t want to do that!

So, to conclude: DON'T LISTEN to the enemy when he comes and tells you “you have been serving for way too long without recognition, you need a vacation and a break!” This is ONLY a tactic to DEVIATE you from God perfecting the good work that He has started in you.

Remember that your reward is found in Matthew 25:23 when it says “‘well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' Even Jesus told Satan in Matthew 4:8-11 "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'

Lesson 1: "Who am I in Christ?" - Grace

In March 27, 2010, we started our 1st lessons using the book “Who am I in Christ?” In Spanish, “Quien soy en Cristo?” written by our own Apostle: Jose Zapico and Prophet: Lidia Zapico.

In order for us to understand who we are in Christ, we must first understand the gift of grace! Fortunately, the gift of Grace is FREE! Grace is defined as the free and unmerited favor or beneficence of God. It is also defined as a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine grace.

Romans 5:15 says “But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!"
So there it is, because of Jesus Christ, we have received grace. Therefore, if we have accepted Jesus Christ, we have received grace and thereby we can now begin to understand who we are in Him.

Before the meeting was over, we were asked a series of multiple questions to meditate: Before accepting Christ, when asked who we were, how did we respond? What about after accepting Christ? Do we define ourselves by our job titles/positions? family last names? Obtained degrees? Or functions in church? Etc. If so, then we don’t know who we are in Christ!

Knowing who we are in Christ goes beyond all those things; it even goes beyond just saying what the Word of God says about us, but about LIVING AND WALKING like He tells us to.

So, who are we in Christ? Well, you need to come to our next meeting and join Ruben as he helps us understand who we are in Him!

Last Saturday, March 20, 2010 we had a special speaker come share the word of God with us. Her name: Mercedes Dawson. What an amazing anointed women of God! It was easy to see that her knowledge went far beyond reading the word of God, but of having it engraved in her heart. A Bible verse that comes to mind to describe her walk with Christ is that one found in Joshua 1:8 (TNIV) “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Not only did she impact us with her easiness of quoting bible verse after bible verse and her powerful testimony but we were blown away by her topic:

The Thoughts of the Soul.

She started off by explaining the effect of the fall of sin and how because of sin the original purpose of life was distorted. The original distortion is found in Genesis 3:7-8, when Adam and Eve felt ashamed because they had disobeyed God and thereby losing the vision that God had given them.

She further explained that the effects of the fall of sin are:
1. Rejection
2. Shame
3. Weakness and Impotence

Mercedes explained that “All bad behavior is a clear need to fill in the basic needs of life.” She further explained that “The enemy’s purpose is to keep man blind but God’s purpose is to show man the truth.” Therefore, we shouldn’t live life by our emotions but rather by the truth of the Word of God.

But where do we find our emotions? Well, we find them in the heart. The word for "heart" here is "kardia" = "the thoughts or feelings (mind). In this instance it does not refer to the flesh of the heart that pumps blood, but really our "mind" in the sense of our "soul" or "spirit." In Romans 8:27(TNIV) it says, “And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God.” God is the ONLY ONE able to discern the intentions of every heart! With this we must understand that many times our problems are a matter of the heart (our mind) and that we must overcome them with the truth of the Word of God. This will be the only way we will become victorious in our walk with Christ!

At the end she concluded by challenging us with the following question “When people in the world see us, for example our friends, family, colleagues, etc.., are we actually reflecting the glory of God? So, that they yearn for what we have?
We sure hope so! If not, today is a great day to start reflecting the glory of God through your testimony and letting them know what they are missing out on!

So.... there it is people!

The Thoughts of our Soul! We challenge you to concentrate about the things that are true, which is the Word of God. This will take care of the erroneous thoughts of our heart/mind/and soul.

Keep in mind like Mercedes said, “Only the Word of God that we speak has eternal transcendence!” So let’s go out there and speak the Word of Truth!

JESUS YOUR "FLYWHEEL"

Missed the last c2C’s Saturday meeting?

Last Saturday, March 13, 2010, we had what we called “c2C MOVIE NIGHT,” we watched “FLYWHEEL”
Here is a brief summary of the movie:
Jay Austin wants to sell you a car and it doesn't matter to him how he does it. He is dishonest in his business, and that's exactly how he conducts his personal life as well. He is dishonest in all of his relationships - even his wife and son know they can't trust him. However, as Jay works on restoring a classic 1958 Triumph TR3A convertible, he comes face-to-face with the reality that his life is spinning out of control because of the choices he has made and the way he has conducted himself in his business and in his relationships. He resolves to give his life and his business over to God and make God the "Boss," and begins the ride of his life! Despite the fact that selling cars at honest prices may cause him to lose his business (as it would have been a struggle even at the dishonest prices he had been selling cars), he decides that he is going to be honest in all of his dealings. He gives the business over to God and says that it is His car lot and He can do with it as He pleases. If the business goes under, then it is because God allowed it; if the business succeeds it will be because God saved it... all he desires is to finish well by honoring God with the way he conducts his business, and indeed to honor God in all of his relationships.

The message in the movie was mind blowing!

There was so much to be learned from that movie. It is amazing to see how God can use a movie and minister us through it. Afterwards, God used Ruben to explain the key points addressed in the movie.

Those 8 key points were:

The Law of Harvest – what you plant is what you grow!

Turning to God in Crisis – Always turn to God for help during Crisis!

Choosing to Lead – Be the first to follow Gods path and lead others to it!

Starting Today Right – Make the decision each day to start off right, to put God in charge of your day and life!

Integrity at all Cost– No matter what, Integrity should be your priority, and this will honor God!

Becoming a Blessing – Be a blessing to others, even when you need to be blessed!

Making Wrong Right – Made wrong decisions in the past? It’s ok, make a decision now to turn the wrong decisions into right ones!

Modeling the Way – Be a model to those who look up to you. Ex. Let your life model Integrity, love, peace, blessings, wisdom etc. you never know who is watching!

In conclusion, the message was:

The Car = Your Life, The Flywheel = Jesus Christ. Fact: in a car's clutch, a flywheel connects to the engine, and a clutch plate connects to the transmission. That means that without the right genuine flywheel, the engine is not able to run correctly.

Without Jesus Christ being your flywheel, your life won’t be right! You must accept God’s gift to us, His son Jesus Christ, and let him be the Flywheel of your life. God will take care of replacing the transmission and engine so that your life may run smoothly according to his perfect will!

Afterwards, we experienced a wonderful time of praise and worship lead by the Holy Spirit till late at night! Moments of tears and moments of joy! What an amazing time we spent in His presence! To God is ALL the glory! See the pic :)

The Biblical view of God's Will for YOU!

On Saturday, March 06, 2010 we spoke about “The Biblical view of God’s Will.”
Ever wonder what God’s will for your life is? Has God revealed His will for you? Is there any way for sure that you can know that you are walking under His will? Well, we learned that He has revealed His will for us!

God’s will are as follow:

1. God’s Sovereign Will (God’s declaration of what he will do, no matter what we do – in other words – Whatever God says, will happen!)

2. God’s Moral Will – The law (The Bible – God’s revealed will to us!)

3. God’s Individual Will – (This one will be revealed as we follow his Moral Will, which is ultimately covered by his Sovereign will)

Confused???? Let’s make it clearer!

God’s sovereign will is the combination of God’s secret purposes, plan and power that controls the outcome of all matters in the universe!

Need a Bible verse to back that up? Here it is: Deuteronomy 29:29 (TNIV) –“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

We can actually use the second part of that same verse to back up his Moral Will: “but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.” This is His Law, the Word of God – The Bible!

Need examples?

Well, to start of you got the 10 Commandments! Ever wonder how many times a day, we break one of the 10 commandments?…by doing so…we are already falling out of God’s moral will! Told a lie? Not His will! Stole a candy from the store? Not His will! Lusting over someone else other than your husband/wife? Not His will!

Here are a few topics that are seeing throughout the Bible that show His Will:

SALVATION, FORGIVENESS, TRAINING YOUR CHILDREN, WALKING WITH GOD, PRAYER, WORSHIP, FINANCES, MARRIAGE…ETC...ETC...ETC…FOLLOWING ALL THIS ACCORDING TO HIS WORD….IS WHAT GODS WILL FOR US IS!

GODS WILL IN OTHER WORDS IS ABOUT BEING WISE AND DOING WHATS RIGHT (DOING WHAT HIS WORD SAYS)!!!! SIMPLE AS THAT!

Many other Bible verses were given to back these statements….Unfortunately we can’t mention all of them here; the blog would be too long.

c2C - Friendships

Our God has been faithful one more time! Last Saturday, February 27, 2010, God used our Brother and Prophet, Ernie Sauve to bring a word that touched our hearts deeply! We experienced non-stop laughter throughout his message.

His topic: Friendship. Think you knew everything about friendship? ….Think again! Brother Sauve explained over 25 types of friendships. Think you can name them all??? We doubt it! Want to hear a few? Here are some of the ones he mentioned: The Double Crosser, The Self Absorb Friend, The Gossiper, The Competitor, The Fault Finder, The Manipulator, and last but not least the True Friend. Can you identify some of your friends in those categories? We sure did!

He spoke about how change brings different situations and those situations bring different people in our lives. He said, “The type of friends we attract is based on what we have in our hearts!” Sounds like the saying, “Tell me who you are with and I will tell you who you are” does in it? Proverbs 13:20 (TNIV) says “He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.” Furthermore, he explained how there needs to be limits to friendships. Exodus 23: 2 (TNIV) says “Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd.”

Here are 9 key things to know about Friendships:

1. Must know where and when to put the brakes on them.

2. Challenge the commitment/depth of the friendship (you never know if you will ever see them again).

3. Identify those friends who will build you up from those who will destroy you.

4. Know the great value – Friendship is not about feeling good!

5. Be careful of those hurtful people – Those who bring destruction

6. Define the person – In order to know what a friend is, you must define yourself and them as a person. Understand their aspirations and goals.

7. Choose your friends through Gods purpose.

8. Be a friend of God (Ex. Abraham).

9. Seek the right kind of friends!

PEOPLE…JUST BE REAL IN YOUR WALK WITH CHRIST! THIS IS THE BEST TESTIMONY AND EVANGELISM TOOL WE HAVE IN OUR HANDS! SHOW GODS LOVE WITH YOUR FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS AND JUST ANYONE WHO CROSSES YOUR PATH!

c2C!!!

We did it!!! We officially launched our 1st meeting this past Saturday, February 20, 2010. God was good to us and the turnout was great! We met some new incredible people and got to fellowhip with them afterwards (after some spiritual food, we got some physical food...AMEN TO THAT!). Not only did we get to fellowship with others but we got to pray and worship the one

who is worthy of all our praise, our Lord!

Amazing testimonies were shared BUT best of all we got to hear the Word of God imparted by a great servant of God, our own leader, Ruben Morales. What a blessing!!!! Ruben challenged us to examine our lives and determine what type of branches we were, dead or fruitful? What an awakening call!!! His teaching was based on our Ministry’s Bible Verse: John 15:5 (TNIV),"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” He concluded by telling us that perhaps there are seasons where our branches are dead, but that when we are connected to Christ, Gods grace and mercy will ALWAYS bring new seasons to bear much fruit! What a relief to know that we have such a loving God that no matter what we do, He is always ready to accept us just as we are!
